Meet 2010 NHRA Toyo Tires Nationals Top Alcohol Funny Car Champion, John Bojec. Driver of the PAC Racing Springs 3000hp Miner Brothers powered Chevy Monte Carlo Funny Car, Bojec wheeled his way to being a hitter in the action packed NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series.

No stranger to speed, the Mentor, Ohio native started his motorsport career as a teenager, on two wheels but it wasn’t until the early 1990's that Bojec transition to the four wheel dirt action of Tractor Pulling in the NTPA (National Tractor Pulling Association). Bojec’s career boomed in the tractor pull arena as John victoriously won the 1998 NTPA Tractor Pull Championship and landed the job as host of the Talented Innovator segment on the TV show ‘Motor Madness’ that featured on the TNN Network Channel. Bojec’s Championship winning ‘The Blue Ox’ Peterbilt, to this day can be found at the Stage Coach Productions Truck Museum in Hastings, Minnesota as seen on the Travel Channel.

After nine successful years battling out the NTPA series Bojec made the switch to methanol burning 260mph funny cars in 2003. John found himself facing a new challenge that would see this Asphalt mogul striving to meet new levels of competition and ultimately making successful campaigns as a privateer over the next three years. Bojec joined partners with valve spring mogul, Peterson Spring and their sister company PAC Racing Springs in 2008. This new partnership would prove to be a step in the right direction for the JBR Motorsport team as over the next three seasons they successfully campaigned their way to career best results and a national event victory in 2010 at the Toyo Tires NHRA Nationals, Reading Pa.

In 2011 Bojec and the entire JBR Motorsports team have their sights set on becoming a serious contender for the NHRA Lucas Oil Championship Title on both the National and Divisional levels preparing to battle it out against the best teams in the world’s fastest motorsport arena.
